Cartesian Sequencing

Inspired by the Make Noise Rene MK2 sequencer, this is a 4x4 grid with two independent channels (green & red) and an interpolated output (orange).

Controls:

  • G — start/stop green
  • T — start/stop red
  • Arrow keys — move green channel
  • Shift + Arrow keys — move red channel
  • Click — move green, Shift + Click — move red
  • R — randomize both positions

How It Works

Two independent X/Y positions (green and red) can be addressed separately. Each has its own tempo and start/stop control. The orange channel outputs the interpolated midpoint between them.

Running both channels at different tempos creates polyrhythmic patterns where the orange interpolation drifts between them.
